Metron Aviation has been awarded one of three prime contracts from the US Department of Transport Volpe National Transportation Systems Center under the Transportation Planning, Measurement, Modeling, and Assessment (TPMMA) programme.
The five-year contract, worth a maximum USD19.99 million, will include task orders for transportation and environmental planning; environmental impact measurement; data reduction and analysis; software development; environmental model operation and analyses; sustainability analyses; training and guidance materials development; expert assessments; engineering support; research support; and alternative fuels development and deployment.
Within TPMMA, Metron will continue to support development of the Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT), which dynamically models aircraft performance to estimate environmental impacts.
