Cavotec reports almost EUR30 million in new orders in the first two months of 2017 for in-ground systems at airports in the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States.
In particular, the engineering group won a EUR17.5 million deal to supply its Super Cool DX Pre-conditioned Air (PCA) units and 400 Hz converters to Dubai Al Maktoum International Airport. Cavotec described this as one of its largest-ever airport equipment contracts. The company is working with local contractor A&P Group to supply, install, test, and commission the equipment, including underground services for Multiple Aircraft Ramp System (MARS) contact gates and more than 60 remote aircraft parking positions in the remote apron at Al Maktoum.
