The survey, Airport Terminals 2017, found that 84% of respondents would use rail transit if it could get them to the airport and back more efficiently than by car. The survey also found that more than four in five believed parking and drop-off or pick-up curbs have either stayed the same or deteriorated in the past 10 years.
Laddie Irion, HNTB national aviation sector market leader and senior vice-president said that in planning for improvements, airport authorities should consider partnering with transit agencies to create the public transportation access that travellers seek.
